The payment cycle for sellers on an e-commerce portal is a critical component that ensures timely and efficient transactions between buyers, sellers, and the platform. Understanding this cycle helps sellers manage their cash flow effectively and align their business operations with the platform’s processes.

The complete order fulfillment for eCommerce sellers selling handmade products on IndiaHandmade, involves several key steps:

Order Placement:
Once a customer places an order on Indiahandmade.com, the order is received at the admin end from where it is forwarded to the respective seller.

Order Processing:
Once seller receives and accepts the order, processing of the order gets started, which involves packaging & labeling the product for shipment.

Order Shipped:
The seller prepares and ships the product.

Order Delivered:
The product is delivered to the customer, with Indiahandmade tracking and confirming the successful delivery.

Reserve Period for Returns and Refunds:
Indiahandmade maintains a 7-day reserve period after the product is delivered. During this time, the customer can initiate a return or request a refund if the product is defective or does not meet expectations.

Payment Release:
Once the 7-day return/refund window closes without any customer claims, Indiahandmade begins the process of releasing the seller’s payment. The payment includes the product price minus TDS and TCS as per applicable.

Payment Received in Seller's Account:

The seller receives the payment in their registered bank account, typically within 2–3 business days after the reserve period ends. Indiahandmade provides the seller with a detailed payment report via email that includes UTR number, transaction date and the breakdown of the payment and any deductions.

ORDER PROCESSING

You generate the invoice for the order and create the shipment in the indiahandmade seller dashboard. After that the order is picked up from you location either same day or next day.
